LOCATION
San Miguel de Allende has won Travel + Leisure’s Best City in the World award twice. Designated a “Magic Town” by the Mexican government, it is celebrated for its cultural significance and preserved heritage.
This historic town offers the perfect backdrop for our wedding, immersing guests in Mexico’s rich 18th-century colonial charm. From the vibrant plazas, authentic cuisine and modern art scene, we are so excited to celebrate together.

WHEN
Welcome Drinks: October 29, 2026
Wedding Day: October 30 2026

To give our guests a real taste of Mexican culture, our wedding falls on the weekend of Día de los Muertos, a tradition celebrating life and remembrance. When should I RSVP?
We will be sending details for the event with an RSVP by March 2026.
Are children invited?
Children are welcome to join us for the Welcome Drinks day event, but the wedding day itself will be an adults-only celebration. We understand it’s a long trip, so we’ll provide childcare information and local sitter recommendations for those who wish to bring their kids and celebrate worry-free on the wedding day.
Can I bring a guest?
If your invitation includes a plus one, you’ll see it noted on your RSVP. We kindly ask that only the names listed on the invitation attend.
Is it close to Día de Muertos?
¡Yes! Our wedding is just two days before Día de Muertos, one of Mexico’s most meaningful traditions. We encourage guests to stay a bit longer and experience the festivities throughout the weekend, from parades to amazing cuisine.
Who can I contact if I have questions?
Feel free to reach out to us at marandjasonwedding@gmail.com. We’ll be happy to help with any travel or planning questions. Our local wedding coordinator will reach out to help coordinate and provide support.
